If you possess these skills and knowledge, then this may be the position for you The Oasis Aquatic Centre provides essential recreational services to our community and this role will assist with the overarching vision for the facility.

**We offer**:

- Permanent full time, thirty-eight (38) hours per week.
- Commencing salary range from $94,591.64 to $113,510.02 per annum + 11.5% superannuation.
- Generous leave entitlements including four (4) weeks annual leave.
- Access to Council’s Flexible Working Hours Agreement. Flexible working arrangements with commencement and finishing times dependent on operational needs.

**Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Manage the Aquatics team and services and collaborate with the Oasis Operations Officer to ensure a safe, clean and hygienic environment for patrons and staff.
- Manage the Learn to Swim team and collaborate with the Learn to Swim Team Leader to ensure delivery of safe, structured and industry best practice Learn to Swim Programs.
- Coordinate with the Oasis Programs Supervisor to manage recreation and aquatic programs for the facility, keeping abreast of industry best practice.
- Develop and review operation documents whilst ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislation, Australian Standards and industry best practice as they pertain to operations of the Oasis Aquatic Centre.
- Research and identify Aquatic recreation programs to meet both present and future customer needs and/or provide alternate income streams.
- In cooperation with the Manager Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre and Oasis Programs Supervisor develop and coordinate promotions in order to maximise participation in all aspects of Aquatics programming.
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all aquatics users as far as reasonably practicable.
- Manage Aquatics services ensuring they are undertaken in accordance with industry best practice.
- Assist with monitoring plant and equipment operation to ensure a safe, clean and hygienic environment for patrons and staff, as required.
- Manage all Aquatic operations including Aquatics staff, recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering and staff supervision.
- Monitor Aquatic operational budgets, driving alternative revenue streams and control casual labour expenditure

**What you will need to succeed**:
We are looking for someone with:

- Demonstrated experience relevant to the role such as people management, budget control, WHS, conflict resolution and development of sport and recreational programs.
- Qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Certificate III or IV in Aquatics & Community Recreation, Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management or equivalent.
- Current certificates in Aquatic Operations, Supervision and Management or willing to obtain.
- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification or willing to obtain.
- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid.
- NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
- Class C Drivers Licence
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (INF) Course as (desirable)
- RLSSA Swim Teacher or Swim Teacher Infant and Toddler (desirable)
