**About the Role**

- Full-time (school term-time position working 40 weeks p.a.)
- Immediate commencement
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced School Laboratory Technician to join our Science Faculty for an immediate start.
Under the direction of the Head of Science, you will be responsible for management of the IF Laboratory, providing assistance and support with classroom practical's and all ancillary duties associated with the School’s learning program.
This includes but is not limited to:
- the provision of technical services to the Science faculty that support the teaching of Science,
- preparation of experimental equipment and;
- maintaining an efficient and safe system for the use of chemicals, materials and equipment
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology (analytical or scientific), or equivalent post-secondary qualification appropriate to the nature of the work
- Demonstrated experience as a laboratory technician (minimum 2 years)
- Current knowledge of workplace occupational and safety issues as they pertain to the position and compliance requirements
- Current 1st Aid qualification

**Remuneration**
This position is classified at Curriculum Resource Services (CRS) Level and in accordance with the successful applicant’s experience and the St Michael's Collegiate School (General Staff and Early Childhood Education and Care Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2018.
