The Emergency Department is looking to further strengthen the busy unit with additional Emergency Physicians.

Patient attendances in excess of 60,000 presentations. There has been a significant increase in ATS Category 2 and 3 patients. This is reflected in an admission rate of 26-27% and climbing. Paediatric presentations account for approximately 28%. The ED boasts a Separate Fast Track area and a 12-bedSSU.

**The Facility**
ACEM accredited for 12 months of advanced training.

Our client is a state-of-the-art leading accredited regional hospital based in a university town and is a major training facility. The hospital offers a range of acute and sub-acute services. The Victorian State Government has announced a major redevelopment to be completed; This will encompass a new emergency department, an acute mental health facility, an intensive care unit, a women’s and children’s hub, an expanded critical care and at least 100 additional beds. These departments will be fitted out with the latest cutting-edge equipment and technology and will bring together new operating theatres, procedure rooms, endoscopy suites, consulting rooms, and high dependency care - delivering an additional 4,000 surgeries annually.

Located just outside of cosmopolitan Melbourne, this location is the commercial capital of the Central Highlands and its largest city. A significant tourist destination, brimming with facilities and known for its history, culture and its well-preserved Victorian era heritage. The region is synonymus with food and wine and offers some of the best grammer schools in Australia. Everything you need is in this beautiful city along with country or city living within minutes of the hospital.
