**Join Our Team - Youth Facilitator Needed**
Are you passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space to re-engage youth through self-directed learning? We’re looking for a Youth Facilitator to lead activities, build empowering relationships and help our centre thrive This casual position is for 9 hours a week across 2 days.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead group activities with confidence and contagious enthusiasm.
- Mentor youth 1:1, building deep, respectful relationships and help youth to set and pursue their goals at their own pace.
- Organise and manage events, the daily schedule, volunteer induction and parent meetings while adapting calmly to any unexpected changes.
- Address safety concerns and manage challenging behaviours using assertiveness, de-escalation techniques, collaborative problem-solving and mutual respect.

**Requirements**:

- Blue Card and police check if requested.
- Familiarity with and supportive of unschooling and self-directed learning.

Beneficial:

- Studying or have completed a qualification in Youth Work, Community Services, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with trauma-informed principles
- Knowledge of career pathways for young people.
- Open driver’s licence (held for at least 3 years with no driving offences) - useful for driving the centre’s minibus for excursions and pick-up/drop-offs.

- a time you managed a challenging situation while ensuring respect and inclusion for all.
