**About the role**

This is a 12-month fixed term contract for a Laboratory Technician in Anatomical Pathology.

Anatomical Pathology is seeking an experienced conscientious, hardworking, dedicated individual to join our dynamic multi-skilled team that works together to provide great care, everywhere, every time.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you should possess:

- Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Science) or equivalent.
- Experience in Anatomical Pathology laboratory including specimen reception, embedding, microtomy, special stains and processor maintenance.
- An adaptive ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

- Direct specimen transfers.
- Cytology preparation.
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
