Your Role:
As a Disability Care Worker at Carelinked, you will provide crucial assistance to individuals with complex needs. Your day-to-day tasks may include:

- Facilitating shopping trips
- Attending doctor's appointments / ensuring client is up to date with ongoing appointments/ communicating important updates to senior staff
- Administering medications
- Assisting with personal care
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Assisting client to maintain clean-living environment
- Assisting with cooking - maintaining healthy diet - weekly meal preparation
- Possibly of assisting caring for animals
- Reporting incidents and health/safety risks
- Possibly of Supporting clients with complex physical health needs/ Hospital Visits-Emergency & Planned
- ensuing client understands clearly what medical staff are communicating/ advocating for client / ensuing they feel safe and supported
- Providing comprehensive support and demonstrating a deep understanding of clients with complex mental health needs, ensuring they receive personalised care and attention tailored to their unique circumstances.

**Requirements**:

- Must Have ABN or willingness to obtain (Australian business numbers are free to obtain
- Unrestricted Driver’s License
- Unrestricted access to reliable and well-maintained car, registered with comprehensive insurance, for transporting NDIS participants.
- Possession of a current First Aid certificate, Blue Card, NDIS Worker Clearance, criminal history check, and other mandatory requirements, or a willingness to obtain these promptly upon successful hire.
- Availability to work 30 to 38 hours per week, including weekends & public holidays - shifts that start at school drop of and pick up times - 8:30am - 3:00pm
- Adaptable and empathetic, understanding the uniqueness of each disability
- Female staff only, due to specific client needs
- Ability to extend shift times as needed due to client complexities and potential need for unpredictable hospital medical assistance
- Ability to manage complex behaviors with empathy, foresight, understanding, and skill in diffusing and redirecting challenging client behaviours

Not required but highly valued:

- Nursing or medical experience
- Office or administration experience
- Experience in complex mental health

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $34.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 38 per week
