Customer Service and Distribution Manager

**Responsibilities**:
**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking to appoint a Customer Service & Distribution Manager at our Dandenong South site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role requires you to oversee the overall functions of Customer Service Oceania and Despatch Control including managing the Sample Room in line with global objectives to achieve delivery performance. Ensure consistent efficiency in the daily order and delivery processing of customer orders and provide excellent customer service.**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Daily coordination of shipping buffer meetings with Operations by closely liaising with Planning, Production Quality Control, Customer Service and Despatch to ensure all orders are shipped on time.
- Management of freight and pallet expenses.
- Interface with all aspects of administration, accounting, sales, and technical teams in order to maintain the efficient and effective translation of sales orders, delivery and shipment processing.
- Manage Sample Room and ensure that all samples planned to despatch are shipped on time.
- Always look for ways to improve the customer service and despatch control functions and processes where practical and necessary.
- Manage SAP notifications of external non conformances to ensure that complaints from customers are responded in a timely manner and all related corrective actions follow the approval authorisation process.
- Management of consignment stocks and fragrance inventory aging report for monthly invoicing.
- Ascertain team coverage in times of peak workloads, personal leave and adapt cross training functionality to optimise resource availability.
- Liaise with Account Managers on escalated order related issues and consolidate monthly reports for Regional Supply Chain and Global Metrics.
- Perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with company EHS policies/procedures and the OH&S Act 1985 (Vic).
- Ad hoc tasks as required.
**Job Requirements**
**To be successful in this role**:
- Minimum 3 years management/leadership experience in the food industry
- Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree in Arts, Business or Science
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
