Maxima Recruitment Services have multiple positions with private horticulture companies to take part in a verge maintenance program, maintaining the local council verges, footpaths, and gardens in Adelaide’s northern suburbs. A highly rewarding position where you watch your contribution make a difference every day.

**A day in the life of a garden labourer (verge maintenance worker)** consists of operating garden equipment such as whipper snippers, leaf blowers and mowers to reduce the amount of grass and vegetation on the strip of Council-owned land between the kerb and the property boundary, known as the verge.

This position is repetitive, physically demanding and involves lots of walking. Therefore, requires individuals who are physically fit and able to work in all adverse weather conditions. Casual full-time hours, Monday to Friday. $27.46ph + super.

**Essential**:

- A passion for gardening, the environment and nature
- Physically fit/have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- A current driver’s license
- Previous gardening/landscaping experience is advantageous but not essential

**Prerequisites**:

- Current National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
- Triple Vaccinated for Covid-19
