Hays has partnered with a Council in Western Sydney to find an Animal Services Officer to join their team for a 5-month contract.
About the role:
- Increasing community awareness of the role of animal management through education by promoting legislative requirements, policy, and welfare issues.
- Communicate and enforce the legislative requirements of the Companion Animals Act 1998 and any associated legislation with customers.
- Competently handle companion animals and livestock in accordance with procedures and standards.
- Understanding the needs of pet owners, their animals, and the community in general.
- Promoting responsible pet ownership within the community.
About you:
- Formal qualifications or a demonstrated high level of experience in animal management or similar regulatory environment.
- A high level of experience handling companion animals.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of animal care and welfare issues.
- High level oral and written communication skills, including sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Current class C driver’s licence.
