**The Role**
IAG has an exciting opportunity to join our Liability team as an Underwriter The Underwriting position would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has good attention to detail and is able to build and maintain strong relationships.

As a Liability Underwriter you will support our CGU brand by determining the acceptability, conditions and pricing of moderate to complex insurance risks and agree on coverage within business strategy, risk appetite, regulatory requirements, product offerings and designated authority level.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Underwrites Liability insurance risks adhering to underwriting guidelines and standards
- Applies underwriting strategy with respect to target markets and accounts in area of responsibility
- Supports the management of the Liability portfolio across underwriting processing and credit management, documentation issuance and general servicing and management of Liability risks
- Liaises with account management and business development team
- Supports team, provides guidance as appropriate and takes responsibility for personal development
- Builds and develops relationships with customers (internal and external) and intermediaries.

**About you**
- Experience within Liability Underwriting
- Competent knowledge of renewals process
- Previous experience of working with Brokers & Partners
- A strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
