**Diesel Generator Technician**:
FIFO Perth

$65 - $75 per hour

**The Role**:
**_ DIDO/FIFO (3 days DIDO,5 days FIFO)_**
- Participate in each day's pre-start meeting with the commissioning team for the Client and respond to enquiries from the Client's staff.
- Maintaining the Plant in accordance with the Client's service manuals.
- Daily checking of the plant's lubrication and cooling levels, and careful adherence to standards for adding/changing lubricating oil and coolant.
- Plant operation troubleshooting and correction.
- Preparing the plant's run schedule and distributing the plant's daily run sheets to the appropriate personnel.
- Preservation of the plant's functionality.
- Notifying the Client that the Plant must be refuelled as required.
- Cleaning and emptying of bunds during Plant operation and re-fuelling to prevent spills during operation or loading/unloading and return of Plant.
- Make sure the plant is used strictly in accordance with the client's specifications and any other applicable laws or regulations.
- Preventing the Plant from being used for any purpose that exceeds its rated capacity or in a way that could cause excessive wear.
- Examining the Plant and making sure it is not used if it has become damaged, malfunctioning, or in a dangerous condition. Notifying both Clients right away if and when the Plant malfunctions or fails to function as intended.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Australian recognised HD Mechanical Trade Cert.
- Cummins KTA1250 Experience (Highly Regarded)
- Experience in Power Generation / Diesel Generator fault finding and repair.
- Current and Valid Driver’s License.
- PowerStation Operator Experience.
- Experience in the Mining and Resources Industry - (Desirable)
- Excellent HSE compliance and ability to work unsupervised. The ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical at all times.
