**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Rewarding role providing adult Social Work services across acute, sub-acute, palliative and outpatients settings. Work as a valued member of the large Allied Health team servicing a diverse population with complex social needs and chronic health conditions.
Permanent full time level 1 or level 2 position at Mercy Care Centre public hospital, Young NSW.
- Opportunity for a social worker to develop broad skills in a hospital environment.
- Provide evidenced based Social Work assessment and interventions to a varied adult client base, both inpatients and outpatients.
- NSW Health Professional State Award applies to this role. Sole practitioner allowance is applicable to this position

- Deliver comprehensive services to our adult clients including general counselling, advocacy, advice and education, linking with care providers and discharge planning.

**ABOUT YOU**:
- Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent) and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
- Enthusiastic, flexible, positive team member who is focussed on best practice and quality care

Mercy Care Centre Young is a 26-bed subacute health service facility providing a range of outpatient, community health and aged care services for the people of Young and surrounding region. It specialises in geriatric evaluation and management; rehabilitation and palliative care.
