**About the role**

The position has a role in ensuring that best practice outcomes are achieved for the children and young people through the support of positive attitudes and lifestyle choices and the effective mitigation of risk in line with CatholicCare safeguarding and WHS requirements. This position is Permanent Part time 32 hours a week.

**Duties**
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Living Skills Programs and Education and Vocational Programs tailored to meet the needs of young people;
- Set appropriate activities, tasks, challenges and routines in accordance with their case plan;
- Work with Case Managers to support the implementation and fulfilment of case plans and associated goals for children and young people;
- Comply with funding contracts, operational guidelines, budgets, approved care plans, data collection, reporting requirements and task directives;
- As well as other responsibilities in the attached position description.

**Skills & experience**
- Diploma in Youth Work, Community Services or equivalent (minimum qualification);
- Sound knowledge of the impact of abuse and neglect on children and young people;
- Extensive experience working with young people in residential care or foster care;
- Ability to work within and contribute effectively to a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Current full Driver's Licence;
- Current First Aid certificate;
- As well as other criteria specified in the attached position description
