**About the role**

Reporting to the Vacation Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in providing a high quality school holiday program for up to 60 children between the ages of 5 and 13 years, across Ku-ring-gai Council’s Vacation Care services.

Our four venues tailor programs to suit different age groups and offer children a variety of arts, crafts, games, sports, excursions, and educational experiences during school holidays. We offer age-appropriate programs and activities in a safe, secure, and caring environment.

**Duties**
- Assisting in the planning of the Vacation Care Program
- Supervising, caring for and actively interacting with children in a range of activities
- Providing support to children in a fun, creative and inspiring environment
- Documenting children’s play and learning.
- Establishing relationships with families, the community, and local schools
- Preparing and clearing away materials as directed

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**
- Experience working with children in OOSH Service or Long Day Care
- Experience providing age relevant activities and the ability to interact well with children
- An ability to build positive relationships with children and families
- A Working with Children clearance number is essential.
- First Aid Certificate and the certificate of CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
