Performance Test Analyst

We are seeking a **Performance Test Analyst** who has experience with **OpenText LoadRunner or similar tools**. Having an **ISTQB certification** is a plus.
- Contract length: 12 months + 2 x 12 months extenions available
- Location: Canberra, ACT | Work Environment: Hybrid

**Role**:
The test analyst will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, put forward recommendations on best approaches to different testing methods, provide test plans and reports, and manage test outputs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilising expert level knowledge of performance best practices to uplift capability maturity.
- Engaging with an experienced team to develop scalable and reusable performance test suites.
- Training and mentoring junior testers through regular quality reviews and constructive feedback on industry best practices.
- Developing performance templates and artefacts for use in project documentation and reporting.
- Scheduling the execution of performance suites when required.
- Ensuring adequate test coverage including performance and manual exploratory testing.
- Conducting defect management, including defect tracking, issue resolution, and signoffs.
- Creating and presenting performance test reports to stakeholders
- Be responsive, flexible, and work collaboratively as part of an agile team.
- Executing and reporting on performance tests using the OpenText LoadRunner toolset
- Create and maintain performance test frameworks and strategies.
- Deploying, configuring, and maintaining the OpenText LoadRunner Professional on physical and virtual infrastructure
- Sharing outcomes, knowledge and experience with other analysts in the section
- Manage the deployed performance testing tool.
- Act as technical escalation point
- Provide technical support in the development of performance test deliverables.
- Strong relationship building, communication and negotiation skills.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Performance Test Analyst with minimum 5+ years' experience in OpenText LoadRunner, or equivalent
- Uplifting the capability of performance testing practices in large Department's or organisations.
- Creating performance test scripts using the OpenText LoadRunner toolset across
- Web and Web Services protocols
- Executing and reporting on performance tests using the OpenText LoadRunner toolset
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Electronics or Networking fields
- ISTQB qualification

**Selection Criteria**:
**Essential criteria**
- Proven extensive technical experience and understanding of the toolset; OpenText LoadRunner Professional
- Experience with administrative and management activities for the OpenText LoadRunner Professional, including ability to review and provide feedback to infrastructure of toolset and conducting patches, and upgrades to toolset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in written and oral form with a range of people including, Test Director and testers, project and program managers, technical engineers and developers and security specialists.
- Provide mentoring and technical advice to Performance Test Analysts.
