**Who we are**

Digital Platforms provide the wholesale digital platforms and services that underpin the department’s retail digital products. We provide the architectural guardrails for design and implementation of digital systems in the department to ensure sustainability and enable innovation. We drive and support the adoption of DevOps practices to enable faster and more robust delivery of IT systems

**The Job**
The section is looking for a passionate, energetic and skilled Senior Test Analyst to work in a diverse team of testers to deliver testing activities for large scale projects.

The main duties of the Test Analyst role include, but are not limited to:

- contributing to the delivery of testing activities to project teams which includes activities such as, requirements/design review, test planning, test Design, test execution and test reporting
- contributing to knowledge transfer across the teams
- providing advice to estimates for testing activities
- working collaboratively with other test team members with activities as required
- contributing to the delivery of timely outcomes, while seeking ways to improve processes
- developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- assisting with recruitment activities as required
- contributing to the development of quality assurance and testing standards, procedures, processes, and best practices through a Community of Practice.

**What we are looking for**

**Knowledge and experience**
- Experience working in agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in Software Development Lifecycles and Software Testing Lifecycles.
- Experience in preparing or contributing to the creation of test artefacts such as; test plans, test cases, test data, test estimates and test summary, progress and closure reports.
- Experience in defect management and knowledge of defect life cycles.
- Experience in test management tools.
- Demonstrated experience in Software Testing Techniques and Processes.

**Skills and capabilities**
- Ability to work independently and within a team, following testing processes.
- Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible and possess a can-do attitude.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in collaborative environment with project teams.

**Desirable qualifications**
- Qualifications or certifications in Software Testing.
- Testing experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.
- Experience or knowledge of automation techniques (TOSCA preferred tool) and performance testing is desirable.
