We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Payroll Officer to join our high performing Finance team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of our weekly payroll for all Sanitarium employees across Australia.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Processing the end-to-end weekly payroll cycles
- Setting up new starters, maintaining accurate employee records and terminations
- Processing and reviewing superannuation, annual leave, and other entitlements
- Processing payroll tax
- Processing superannuation
- Reporting and month-end duties for payroll including reconciling payroll related general ledger accounts
- Maintaining deductions and allowances including salary packaging
- Responding to employee enquiries
- Liaising with site payroll personnel
- Providing back up to New Zealand and our Payroll Manager
- 3+ years’ payroll experience - ideally in Australia _and_ New Zealand
- Tertiary payroll/bookkeeping qualifications would be highly regarded
- Attention to detail
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Extensive knowledge of payroll related legislation
- Excellent time management skills - the ability to plan and prioritise
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to work independently
- Strong customer service ethos
- CHRIS21, Kronos and SAP experience are all highly regarded
- Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
