**About the role**
In this role, you will supervise and support a geographical group of Contract Educators that provide early childhood education and care services from their own homes. You will primarily be required to appropriately monitor and support Contract Educators in the provision of a high quality home based education and care service, organise appropriate child placements, support the service development in accordance with Council, Commonwealth and State Government regulations, guidelines, policies and standards.

**Salary**: Band 5 $76,355 - $86,617 (pa plus super)
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the administration team in the enrolment of children into the service with suitable Contract Educators as required
- Foster relationships between Early Years Services and culturally diverse families, to make sure our service is safe, responsive and accessible to their cultural needs.
- Identify and support existing contract educators whose skills and practices require improvement, through the development of a Quality Improvement Plan.
- Support Educators through periods of Rating and Assessment and Compliance Visits by the Department of Education and Training (DET)
- Evaluate and identify work practices and processes which will contribute to the continuous improvement of the services and the practices of the individual Contract Educators
- Support the development of strategic responses to address the barriers and challenges for vulnerable children so that access, engagement and ongoing participation with early years services is improved.
**About you**
Essential Experience:
- Several years of experience in the delivery of an education and care service, including direct supervision and guidance of staff
- Proven working knowledge and understanding of the ECS National Regulations 2011 and ECS National Law Act 2010 and National Quality Framework
- Well developed mediation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate Contract Educator’s competency in line with the expectations of the National Quality Framework
- Competent computer skills and adaptable in using a range of technologies.
- Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent
