**In this role, you'll**:
Provide a specialist technical support capability in a wide-ranging skill set including earthworks, structures, pavements, drainage, utility works, WHS management and program monitoring. The role is expected to mentor, guide and foster improvements for the Surveillance Officer discipline and activities on Transport for NSW’s projects.

This role is flexible with days and can be a part-time arrangement. You will act as a mentor and support for trainees and surveillance officers. This is a site based role and there will be access to a pool vehicle. The projects sit in the greater Sydney area and is concentrated across a suite of roads and some maritime projects.

Role description.

**About you**

You will have:

- Proven ability to advise surveillance officers of technologies, practices and processes of civil construction and maintenance works in a highly specialised field relevant to Agency works.
- Demonstrated ability to source, analyse, interpret and contribute to project, construction and contract documentation for the benefit of Surveillance Officers
- Extensive experience in advising of best-practice record keeping and document management in a construction or maintenance environment.
- Advanced interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills and a proven ability to foster positive, collaborative and constructive relationships in a construction and/ or maintenance environment.
- Proven planning and organisational skills with a well-developed capacity to work under and manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to develop relevant training material to assist the development of knowledge for surveillance officers
