**This opportunity**:
Our residential facility, located in** Port Elliot** is currently seeking a Housekeeping Services Assistant to join their team. If you are looking for a long-term career opportunity that is flexible and rewarding, then this is the role for you

**A little more about the role**:

- Maintaining adequate standards of hygiene and tidiness in accordance with contemporary housekeeping practices across all areas of the role
- Cleaning of floors, cold rooms, store rooms and other areas of the kitchen facility
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and drinks
- Complying with the site Food Safe Program
- Sorting soiled personal clothing and prepare for washing
- Folding and ironing clean laundry and returning to residents
- Correctly operate commercial and domestic washing and drying equipment
- Prepare and maintain resident dining areas
- Maintain adequate stocks of food and chemicals in the servery
- Assist with the collection of residents’ food and beverage selections

**About you**:

- You have an empathetic nature and are committed to supporting the needs of older people
- You have experience in housekeeping services and safe food handling practices in a service organisation
- You are able to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to prioritise workloads, demonstrate flexibility and achieve outcomes within specified time frames
