After Hours Catering Assistant

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Client Services team based in our Sydney CBD office. This is a part-time role Monday to Thursday working 1:30pm to 9:00pm.

You will be responsible for:

- General food preparation including salads and cafe food prep as directed by Head Chef / Evening Chef.
- Physical set up, clear, replenish and break down of After Hours Meals buffet service and assist with evening catered events.
- Physical set up and operation of the wash up area and thorough clean down area at the end of shift.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, dishes, cutlery and glasses are cleaned to HACCP standards and are returned, dry and stacked in appropriate order and locations throughout the kitchen, storage areas and meeting rooms.
- Providing support to all the Client Services team when required i.e. room set ups

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Hold a Catering Certificate II preferred, not essential
- Have good organisational skills
- Be punctual and flexible regarding hours
- Have basic food handling / hygiene training (food safety for food handlers)
- Have a minimum 2 years industry experience - or be eager to learn
- Be a team player
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure
- Have some flexibility, with regards to overtime hours for functions.
