**About the role**:

This role reports to our 'Head of Cybersecurity and Technology Risk', who brings with them hands on operational experience along with ability to understand Industry standard Security framework's and compliance needs to help drive organisations Cybersecurity maturity and upliftment along with complying with APRA's regulatory requirements.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Complying with Security Standards and Frameworks such as APRA CPS234, PSPF/ISM/Essential Eight and NIST
- Security Risk and compliance tracking and reporting documentation.
- Cultivate robust relationships with key stakeholders across the business, gaining an in-depth understanding of operations, computing environment, and potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Work on Cybersecurity upliftment program, leveraging your operational experience to drive optimal security outcomes.
- Understand the challenges faced by the teams, maintaining close ties and offering guidance and mentorship as needed.
- Act as Trusted security advisor across cloud, data, readiness etc for secure designs.
- Work on cutting edge and next generation Cybersecurity platforms and manage configurations.

**Experience Required**:

- Previous relevant experience of at least 5-8 years in cyber operations, consulting, Architecture or engineering roles
- Hands on experience with cyber defensive tools and controls.
- Experience with IT Architecture and Application security lifecycle.
- Strong ability to articulate complex concepts, tailoring messages for managerial understanding.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining crucial business relationships
- Demonstrable understanding of fundamental IT concepts, from TCP/IP to OS architecture.

**Note**: This is a Technical role and needs robust understanding/experience of Cloud, Application and Network Security.
