**Company Description** About the role**
As an Assistant Manager at **Ibis Sydney World Square**, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of this vibrant hotel. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and leading a talented team. This **full-time** role is based in the heart of **Sydney CBD**.
- Overseeing daily Hotel daily activity to deliver excellent customer service
- Monitoring staff performance and providing coaching and mentoring to develop the team
- Implementing and maintaining hotel policies, procedures and standards
- Analysing hotel performance data and making recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
- Fostering a positive work culture and promoting teamwork amongst the hotel staff
- Handling guest enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
**Qualifications**
- Significant experience (1-2 years) in a similar Assistant Manager or GSA ready to take the next step
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with guests, staff and other stakeholders
- Proficient in using hotel management software and data analysis tools
- A thorough understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping and food and beverage
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management or a related field
