**About the role - SCHADS Level 2.1 - Casual, Multiple Vacancies - Mount Barker & Adelaide metro**

As a registered NDIS provider, we are passionate about journeying with our clients towards attaining their goals. We put our clients at the centre of what we do and provide support to achieve positive outcomes. As an NDIS Support Worker, you will provide direct support to our clients living with a disability in residential and community settings. You will provide high quality client centred care to support our clients with a disability in diverse and ever-changing care environments.

**Support Workers are required to work across a 24/7 roster including passive overnights and maintain flexibility in their approach to work across shifts and clients as the business requires, to ensure the continuity of care for clients.**
- Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:_
- Provide active support to clients and engage with them in a meaningful way while providing personal care, improved independent living skills, transport, and other services and support
- Assist clients to work towards their goals and increase independence while modelling skills and behaviours which are appropriate to achieving those goals
- Complete daily shift summaries and case notes to a high standard by completion of every shift, which meet organisational standards
- Work with Allied Health professionals to implement positive behaviour support plans and agreed therapies into daily practice

You will be empowering, encouraging, and inspiring. You will have experience in working with your clients to achieve their goals through your hard work and dedication.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

- VET Certificate IV in Disability or Mental Health
- Previous experience in working with vulnerable and at-risk clients with highly complex needs and disability
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS regulatory environment, including the NDIS Rules, Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Specific Requirements**:

You will be required to have, or be willing to obtain:

- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence
- DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working With Children check
- A current and valid National Police Clearance
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- A valid Provide First Aid (min HLTAID003)
- A current Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes) certificate
- Ability to work across a 24/7 roster
- A fully insured and roadworthy compliant vehicle (roadworthy check required)
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations including any booster requirements
