Residential Full Time Position

**About the Role**

the team leader of a laboratory dayshift crew, ensuring timely completion of laboratory workloads, compliance

with quality procedures and providing technical support to laboratory staff.

**Responsibilities include**:

- guide, train and assess Laboratory dayshift sample preparation technicians;
- maintain laboratory quality systems and documentation;
- maintain consumables stocktake;
- organise maintenance on equipment;
- develop and document new Laboratory procedures;
- troubleshoot laboratory technical issues;
- perform laboratory system maintenance as per schedule and perform or delegate laboratory housekeeping

duties; and
- provide mentoring support for laboratory dayshift sample preparation technicians.
- Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or equivalent;
- 5 years relevant industry experience or equivalent;
- high-level written and verbal communication skills;
- knowledge of MS Office programs;
- leadership, training and assessment skills;
- troubleshooting abilities with laboratory analysis, software and instrumentation;
- good understanding of the relevant work procedures dealing with sample preparation, sizing, analysis;
- knowledge of CCLAS LIMS software desirable; and
- Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive tasks.
