Our Product & Platform team has an exceptional opportunity for a Change & Release Lead to join our high performing, close knit team.
Working closely across our release engineers and product squads, the purpose of this role will be to manage Changes and Releases and refine processes that identify, control, maintain and verify all changes and releases in controlled environments.
**Responsibilities in the role**:
- Provide and maintain a coordinated and effective Change and Release Management service.
- Maintain and schedule activities for the development and deployment of changes into the product environments
- Gather information and track status of all change requests and release implementations
- Ensure the change and release policy and processes are adhered to in the release of all changes into all environments excluding Development
- Understand and analyse any impacts of, including scheduling risks, all projects that will introduce change to the production environments
- Mediate all conflicts regarding scheduling, lack of approval or lack of documentation prior to implementation of the change
- Lead and facilitate workshops that will help in ensuring compliance and understanding of Change Management and Release processes
- Ensure process, procedure and work instruction documentation for Change and Release Management activities are correct and up to date
- Distribute the change and release schedules within agreed timeframes
- Ensure closure and archiving of completed change requests and releases
- Interface closely with head of engineering and technical leads to ensure the change and release process delivers maximum benefit while maintaining appropriate controls

- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Experience in leading workshops and training sessions
- Experience in agile transformation/transition
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the ITIL best practice frameworks
- Understanding of SDLC and best practice frameworks
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to influence and persuade, is comfortable championing processes across multiple user groups, adjusts style to needs of audience
- Strong organisational skills - able to prioritise and effectively manage competing demands without any loss of quality or service
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
