MHIQ Infectious Diseases and Immunology program researchers are investigating revolutionary strategies and therapies to help prevent, manage and eradicate some of these major diseases worldwide. We focus on both fundamental biology and clinical translation that will lead to new tools and novel treatments for arbovirus infections, viral cancers, COVID-19, genetic diseases, gut and oral health, urinary tract and respiratory infection.

**Job Description**:
**About the Opportunity**
This is a new position as part of the Griffith Centre for Cell and Gene Medicine, Menzies Health Institute Queensland. Under the strategic supervision of the Centre Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for running the Nanomedicine Biofoundry, and assist the research, writing, and co-ordinating ethics, papers, grants and policy submissions.

A major focus of the position will be to produce lipid and exosomal nanoparticles for research as well as develop novel formulations as well as actively contribute to the Centres activities.

**Salary Range**
The base salary for a Research Fellow Grade 1 position is in the range $78,437- $91,879 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total package is in the range $91,771 - $107,498 per annum.
