Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world’s largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you’re joining a very unique team As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Maintenance (Mechanical) Supervisor to join Lynas Rare Earths. This position plays a vital role in ensuring reliable plant performance and safe, efficient maintenance operations across site facilities. This is a FIFO position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on an 8/6 roster.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:

- Ensure all people and plant in your care remain safe
- Maintain plant performance as required by Mt Weld Operations.
- Allocate daily work assignments including maintenance, repair, housekeeping, and administrative tasks.
- Conduct daily workplace inspections and lead monthly safety toolbox meetings.
- Manage contractors to ensure work scope and goals are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Lead accident investigations and drive positive safety outcomes.
- Liaise with all departments to coordinate mechanical maintenance requirements.
- Always ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Provide thorough handovers to incoming supervisors and maintain effective communication across shifts.
- Remain available on-site to respond to any plant breakdowns or critical maintenance issues.

Qualities We Value:

- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems
- High attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams and contractors
- Sound understanding of cost implications and maintenance planning
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Pronto software is desirable

Skills Required:

- Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor in the mining or heavy industrial sector
- Mechanical Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
- Valid C-Class WA Manual Driver’s Licence
