**Recreational Activities Officer**

**Classification**: Permanent Part-Time
- **Location**: IRT Shoalhaven**We currently have opportunities available at the below sites**:

- IRT Culburra - Permanent Part Time - 15 hrs per week
- IRT St Georges Basin - Permanent Part Time - 20 hrs per week
- If you are passionate and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of older Australians, come and join our fantastic IRT team today.- This extremely rewarding role will contribute to the activity offerings for residents to enhance their life and sense of security, companionship, fun and relaxation.- The primary purpose of this role is to assist our residents on bus trips, facilitate onsite activities, including bingo, floor bowls etc. and work alongside our supportive Lifestyle Team.- This is a permanent part-time position.**Perks**:

**To be successful you will have**:

- A qualification in an appropriate field such as Certificate IV Leisure and Health (or be willing to obtain complementary via the IRT Academy )
- Initiative and creative flair
- Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work as part of a team and be able to prioritise work
- Willingness to work on the weekends is also a requirement for the role
- Have the ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their day
