Mount Owen Glendell Operations (MGO) Mine located in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, 20 kilometres North of Singleton, contains the Mt Owen and Glendell open cut mines. The integration of these operations enables all sites to use a single coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) and infrastructure at Mt Owen Mine.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Safety Systems Officer within our Health, Safety and Training department at MGO. Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective and timely onboarding of contractors, initial contract point for contractor onboarding queries, data entry of safety and training records, management and control of record quality, assisting with safety and training communications, and supporting our health, safety, and training efforts. You’ll work closely with contract partners, department leaders and supervisors, in a collaborative environment to ensure the wellbeing of our workforce.

A key focus of this role is strong computer literacy, attention to detail, time management and organisational skills. Administration experience and familiarity with safety and training software such as GWOS, Workday and Damstra is highly regarded.- Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills Effective and engaging communication style and skills, including written communication- A collaborative and team focussed mindset- Previous experience working within a health, safety training and/or compliance team.
