**What’s the role?**

Join Westpac, one of Australia's largest banks, as a Solution Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end solution design and communication of solutions to internal stakeholders to meet the current and future needs of the business. Stakeholders include build and CX teams, architecture, delivery leads and product owners.

The role provides comprehensive guidance on the development or modification of solution components. You will ensure that the relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices are followed during the solution development.

**Main role and responsibilities are**:

- Collaborate independently with stakeholders on requirements.
- Translation of requirements into a feasible solution in a time boxed fashion.
- Solutions should leverage existing integration/data patterns and tech stack with strategic thinking.
- Perform solution walkthroughs with individual squads and including their tech leads.
- Peer review other solutions within the team.
- Present solutions as required at the Architecture and Solution walkthrough meetings.

**What do I need?**
- Proven experience in software development methodologies, including agile.
- Proven experience with programming languages such as C#, SWIFT, and/or Kotlin.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs using technology stacks like.NET, Java, or NodeJS.
- Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with multiple teams.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Good communication and documentation skills.

**Desired skills**
- Understanding of design patterns.
- DevOps experience: automation, CI/CD, and Cloud.
- Skilled in browser-based debugging and performance testing.
- .NET expertise.
- Mobile development with SWIFT or KOTLIN
