We have been engaged by a leading Global Trading, Clearing and Settlements business. They are currently looking to engage a Solution Designer/ Engineer that will play a key role in designing and implementing IT solutions that will align to our client’s strategic business goals

50% (Technical) / 50% (Stakeholder Engagement) - Permanent Job - Office based in the Sydney CBD - Hybrid work flexibility - Salary Neg for the right person

This role would be well suited to someone that started off their career as a Developer and moved into a Tech Lead, Head of Engineering/Development or Solution Design type role, this role would appeal to someone that has worked within the Trading, Settlements, Clearing sector or a Low Latency/ High frequency environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work closely with our client’s development teams to ensure that all changes align with their defined future state architecture and overall IT strategy.
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term strategic planning and ensure that business requirements are met while also adhering to our clients IT architecture standards.
- Investigate, tune and verify standards and strategic views with internal and external global stakeholders (e.g. product owners, business managers, IT managers, external authorities).
- Develop and maintain solution architectures in line with our clients global target architecture, global policies, security standards and best practices.

**Background**
- Min 8 years’ experience within the IT Sector, Min 4 years’ experience within Solution Design
- Familiarity with new technologies such as CI/CD, Cloud, Microservices, API/Integration.
- Passion for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and activate others to achieve common goals.
