**Carlitas Care Services** is seeking a highly motivated person to lead our team of Disability Support Workers. The Disability Support Worker program provides support to NDIS participants to assist them in achieving goals set out in their NDIS plans. You will be responsible for quality of service, referrals, induction, rostering, providing support to the team, and supervision. You will be required to travel in the Sydney area.

**Position Requirements**:

- A passion for working with people with a disability
- Experience in Disability Support Work and NDIS
- A commitment to occupational health and safety (OHS)
- Experience in Risk Assessments
- Ability to manage a diverse team
- Willingness to travel within Sydney
- Qualifications in the Community Sector (desirable)
- Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Own vehicle and current driver’s license

**Position Duties**:

- Lead the team
- Monitor and coach for individual and team outcomes and performance
- Share operational or procedural direction and advice with the team
- Seek advice on complex issues and liaise with other teams or organisations that are involved in the participants care
- Prepares reports as required
- Ensure participants are appropriately supported and resolve issues
- Ensure quality of service across the team
- Manage the safety of the team through Induction, OHS, Risk Assessments and check-ins
- Ensure team members possess required certification and checks
- Ensures adherence to organisation policies & procedures and all relevant government legislation and standards

**Salary**: $75,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

Supplementary Pay:

- Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Tagalog (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
