**Company Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

As Head of Data Science, you will play a key role in leveraging Superloop’s data ecosystem to drive impactful insights and solutions across the business. This is a strategic and hands-on role with a strong focus on leadership, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead, grow and mentor an emerging team of data scientists, fostering a strong data-first culture across the organisation.
- Define the technical direction and roadmap for data science, aligning with Superloop’s overall data and business objectives.
- Drive the end-to-end development of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives across key business functions.
- Architect and implement machine learning models in cloud environments, including churn prediction, recommendation systems and fraud detection.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, operations, and executive leadership to embed data science into core business processes and customer experiences.
- Build and own end-to-end data science projects: from hypothesis generation and data wrangling to model deployment and performance monitoring.
- Advocate and implement best practices for experimentation, statistical modelling, and data governance.
- Oversee data science infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance environments.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and bring innovation into Superloop through emerging AI/ML techniques and tools.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- 4+ years of experience in data science or a closely related field, including experience working within a strategic capacity.
- Background in economics, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Experience building and deploying ML models in production cloud environments (preferably AWS: Redshift, SageMaker, Lambda, EMR).
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL with ability to work with large datasets, automate workflows, and build reproducible solutions.
- Deep knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and data modelling.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration and influencing senior stakeholders across tech and business teams.
