We are seeking a positive, well organised and motivated person to assist the Business Manager and Operations Manager with transport administration and coordination tasks. This position would ideally be suited to someone with some previous experience in transport and logistics.
**THE ROLE**
This is an evolving role with a range of tasks, assisting the Business Manager and Operations Manager with transport coordination/allocation, including:
- liasing with carriers, customers, drivers, other staff and other stakeholders
- creating and communicating bookings, pick ups etc
- assisting with tracking enquiries and responding in a timely manner
- assisting with vehicle servicing, maintenance and inspection bookings (including keeping up to date fleet records to plan)
- processing maintenance request forms and ensuring systems are up to date
- investigation of complaints and enquiring reporting to the Business Manager
- data entry, spreadsheets and reporting, manifesting, processing PODs and other delivery paperwork, processing run sheets and special services and other general office duties as required
- Assisting with HR management and compliance
**SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience with transport/logistics preferred and the applicant should be excited to develop and evolve as this position grows with the business
- Excellent communication, time management, organisation and customer service skills are a must for this role.
- Data entry/software systems experience - Applicant must have the ability to input and maintain accurate, timely data and information
- Confidence dealing with issues that arise, quickly and calmly.
- Ability to understand, follow and adhere to processes, systems and regulations
- Ability to maintain and develop procedures and processes in a fast paced environment
- Applicant must be a team player and be able to work both within the team and independently
- Applicant must be well presented, able to pass random drug and alcohol testing and be able to pass a National Police Check
- Willingness to learn and a commitment to your training and development
- Previous experience managing staff will be highly regarded
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
