The health interface and insights section is looking for a talented data analyst and modeller to support its exciting work program that looks at issues across the aged care and health systems, with the aim of improving outcomes for older people.

The teams aims to use big data available to the Department (aged care data, Medicare, etc) to analyse patterns and predictors of health service use for people receiving aged care services, along with generating improved understanding of the variation in care provided to people receiving aged care. The team is also responsible for developing a model of the health and aged interface which focusses on understanding transitions between care types, overall service use and how interventions might change outcomes for people receiving aged care services and overall expenditure on health and aged care.
