Dog Driver

Job Position: Driver + Dog Walker

Hours: 30-40 hours weekly (must be available on Saturdays)

Location: Dogs in Town

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Driver + Dog Walker to join our team.

This full-time
- Part time position involves the safe transportation of dogs to and from their homes, various parks, and Dogs in Town locations. You will also walk and care for multiple dogs of different breeds and sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely transport dogs in our small vans between their homes, parks, and Dogs in Town locations.
- Walk multiple dogs in parks and neighborhoods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor dogs’ behavior and well-being during transport and walks.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the van and during walks.
- Provide food and water for dogs as needed.
- Clean up and dispose of pet waste responsibly.
- Adhere to clients’ specific requests, including special handling or behavioral needs.
- Keep detailed records, including pickup and drop-off times, walk durations, and any observations about the dogs’ behavior or health.
- Communicate regularly with clients, sharing updates, photos, and videos of their dogs.

**Requirements**:

- A current driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- experience working with dogs, including knowledge of positive reinforcement training. Is a plus
- A solid understanding of dog behavior and how to handle dogs of various breeds and temperaments.
- Comfortable driving small vans in urban environments and navigating city traffic. (We provide the vans)
- Physically fit and capable of walking and handling multiple dogs in all weather conditions.
- Patient, punctual, reliable, and responsible.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Ability to work during peak times, including mornings and Saturdays.
- Availability: Must be available Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, and Saturdays, 8 AM to 4 PM. Applications without this availability will not be considered.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week

- 10 hour shift
