Supporting people with disabilities is about helping them to achieve their goals, develop their capabilities and build independence, and fully participate in the community.

**About the Role**
- We support children, young people and families, people with disabilities, and people with mental illness. EmpowerU Support Teams focussed on co-production, supporting people to make decisions about their life and support.

The support you provide might include:

- Helping the person develop skills - for example, making a budget, taking public transport, using assistive technology, or preparing meals
- Assisting the person to participate in social outings, recreational activities and community events
- Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support.
- Personal care, such as help with dressing, eating, showering, toileting, or moving around the house
- Assisting with transport to attend appointments
- Domestic assistance, such as house cleaning, shopping, laundry, or performing errands

**Key Responsibilities**
- Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
- Track and maintain records of client progress
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families
- Provide in-home support and domestic assistance

**Skills & Experience**
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s license
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- National Criminal History Record Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with children check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $32.29 - $45.00 per hour
