Principal Environmental Adviser job. Permanent Perth based opportunity in the mining industry.

**Your new company**
Hays is partnered with this mid-sized Perth based mining company on their search for a Principal Environmental Adviser to join the team on a permanent basis. With a key asset in the Pilbara being an historic mine site - this will be a challenging and diverse role.

**Your new role**
As Principal Environmental Adviser you'll be responsible for the success of the Environment Department as it supports the business to achieve the required mine approvals, solutions for heritage issues and EPA, as well as managing environmental compliance. Some key tasks will be:

- Develop and manage the Environmental Strategic Plan and initiatives to ensure compliance to company standards and legislative requirements
- Ensure compliance reports, rehabilitation activities and the Environmental Management System (EMS) are developed in line with business standards, operational requirements, and legislative frameworks

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science or similar
- Exposure to corporate level environmental duties: mining approvals, NPI reporting
- Approvals experience under the EPA
- Compliance and rehabilitation on-site experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of cultural heritage matters
