**About You**

Olive Grove House is looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to be part of its very successful Day Centre program on a casual basis with the view to permanent shifts becoming available, You will have two shifts weekly with a possibility to pick up more shifts casually.

As part of the Olivet Care Team the Wellbeing Carer is responsible for the planning and delivery of social and recreational programs to support older residents living in the community to maintain and enhance their social connectedness and independence

**Duties of the role**
- Design and manage the program activities required to meet the accreditation standards and guidelines outlined in the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- Ensure programs and activities are culturally relevant to people from the CALD community
- Assist with client transport, arranging client meals, undertaking ordering, and purchasing of supplies for the client activities
- Ability to drive our mini
- bus and take our residents to a nice excursions
- Assist clients with personal care needs
- Develop and work within the individual client care plans
- Support clients in their daily activities and attendance
- Maintains a client centred approach to service delivery
- Assist and maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and staff
- Taking a reasonable care for your health and safety and others
- Not to be under the influence and/ or use of alcohol or drugs while at work

**What you will need to be successful**
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health preferable
- Certificate III in aged care, main requirement
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to share empathy and understanding to our residents and their families
- Experience in working with elderly and/or people with a disability
- Can do attitude, good verbal, and communication skills
- Basic Computer Skills and ability to use Olivet Care software products as required
- Time management skills and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge and experience in a memory support program is highly regarded
- Current Driver License
- NDIS Screening Check, or willing to apply
- Current First Aid certificate (with CPR) or willing to obtain
- Covid 19 Vaccination
- Have a full Australian working Rights
