Our group office in Southbank, Melbourne, is seeking an exceptional **_Principal, Operational Technology_**.** Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management & Operational Excellence, this key position within our asset group offers an outstanding opportunity to shape our technology and future.

With our demonstrable history of achievement, including the US$5.85 billion acquisition of the Las Bambas operation and the recent US$1.88 billion acquisition of the Khoemacau mine, you'll be part of a company that thinks big and delivers results.

This dynamic, independent role offers the opportunity to develop MMG’s Operational Technology (OT) strategy in line with MMG’s strategic direction, mining industry technology developments and Asset development plans. You'll play a key role in supporting the development of asset specific OT roadmaps in-line with MMG’s corporate OT strategy, adding value and enhancing efficiencies across our diverse technologies and operations.

Specific duties include:

- Develop and seek approval for MMG’s Operational Technology roadmap in line with Corporate and Operational strategy
- Keep abreast of mining industry Operational Technology trends and developments for consideration in OT strategy development
- Work collaboratively with Assets, regional IT groups and Asset Planning & Support members to understand operational issues and opportunities requiring Operational Technology solutions
- Identify, frame and seek approval for enterprise-wide Operational Technology solution projects which are supported by Assets and regional IT teams, and included in Asset plans
- Work with Assets and regional IT teams to develop and maintain Asset specific OT roadmaps consistent with MMG’s roadmap and the Asset’s Strategic Development Plan, and integrate into the Asset business planning
- Integrate support for company-wide OT services and systems within regions and manage MMG-wide contracts as required.
- Promote a data driven culture to deliver results through continuous improvement.

By working with Assets, Regional IT groups and Asset Planning, you'll act as a catalyst for meaningful change, respectfully challenging the status quo and introducing innovative solutions.

We are seeking a professional with relevant qualifications and mining operational technology experience, an objective and investigative mindset, well developed engagement skills and a proven track record of delivering OT solutions. Applicants with a deep understanding of the interdependencies between various functions of a mining operations in a global context risk will be viewed favourably.
