A newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement officer to join our client’s dynamic R&D team on a permanent basis.

Within this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of raw materials for pharma or food products.

**The Role**:

- Identify potential suppliers and manage the procurement process from start to finish, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting.
- Manage vendor contracts to ensure that terms and conditions are met and that the company receives the best value for money.
- Ensure that the company has adequate inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory.
- Implement cost-saving strategies to minimize procurement expenses while maintaining the highest level of quality and service.
- Maintain a positive relationship with suppliers to ensure that the company receives the best possible service and support and ensure the company gets the best offer, service terms and prices, and to follow up on the development of the contracts with the suppliers.

**About You**:

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the procurement function within an FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Experience with sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship in purchasing raw materials from the Food and Pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP, an advantage.
- Sound analytical and strategic mindset.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
