The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) works with TAFEs across Victoria in a new way to build a stronger, more effective TAFE network.The OTCD leads the TAFE network to enhance the quality of their courses and align their training to meet the needs of Victorian industries, communities, and students, ensuring that Victorian TAFE students are job-ready, and Victorian employers will get the skilled workers they need, when and where they need them.The TAFE network is vital in the new era of work responding to rapid technological and social shifts, as well as the upheaval of COVID-19. The OTCD works with TAFEs to plan the delivery of training and uses robust data to establish clear priorities to deliver the right, high-quality courses.
Experience in the tertiary education governance field is preferred and proven ability in the following areas is necessary for success:
- provide authoritive advice on TAFE governance
- scope/plan effectively
- manage processes and programs
- identify improvements to business as usual processes
- produce documents including plans, reports, briefings to executives/the Minister, and communications and tools for clients and stakeholders that are fit for purpose
- influence and communicate effectively with internal and external clients and stakeholders; and
- provide professional and customer-driven service in timeframes that are often outside of the team's control.
