About the role

Lifeblood is opening a new Donor Centre in Camberwell, with multiple permanent part time and full time positions available. We are looking for passionate individuals with fantastic customer-facing experience to deliver the best experience to our donors. You will have the opportunity to help shape the culture of our new Donor Centre and contribute to its success

Your role in our Donor Centre will contribute to Lifeblood's meaningful work. You’ll support our donors through their donation process and create an experience that they want more of, while collaborating in a team environment to achieve collection targets.

**A day in the Centre will see you**:
Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate.

Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests

Set up machines, various tubing and collection bags.

Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.

**Be a champion of donor safety**: provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process.

Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.

Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation

Provide direction, inspiration and support for your team to achieve common goals and foster team effectiveness - for Session Leader roles.

We are offering permanent part time and full time opportunities for Session Leaders, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Centre Service Officers. We are offering from 4 to 10 shifts per fortnight ranging from 5 to 10 hours in length.

Besides having a real passion to deliver an amazing donor experience, you’ll need to be able to:
Be flexible to work varied shifts (including length, start and finishing times) on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday

Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs

Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products.

Leadership experience with the ability to coach and provide performance feedback - for Session Leader roles.
