**About the Opportunity**
TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge to join our **Gymea** campus team on a **casual** basis as a Teacher of Years 10-12 in one or more of the following areas: English, Chemistry, Biology, Health, Computer Studies, Maths, Business Studies, Career Readiness and Humanities. The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.
**About you**
You have demonstrated experience in teaching students from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, ranging from 15-30 years of age. Ideally you will have previous High School teaching experience. You will have general administration and competent computer skills to be able to manage your own administration associated with attendance, assessment, and delivery. You are a passionate individual who thrives on supporting and mentoring a diverse group of students. You have the ability to adapt your facilitation style to meet your students’ needs and deliver in a clear concise manner.
**To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated ability in the following Essential Requirements**:
- A degree with minimum of 1 year course work in one or more of the following disciplines: English, Chemistry, Biology, Health, Maths, Computer Studies, Business Studies and Humanities
- Hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 with the two additional units) or a Diploma in VET or Adult Education or equivalent.
- Minimum of one-year post-qualification experience in a relevant teaching role.
- Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
