Overnight Sleep Technician

**Position Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Overnight Sleep Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves conducting and monitoring overnight sleep studies (polysomnography), providing patient care, and ensuring high-quality data collection for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform overnight in-laboratory sleep studies (Diagnostic PSG, CPAP/BiPAP titration)
- Monitor patients throughout the night for safety, comfort, and signal quality, and intervene when needed (e.g.,signal loss, mask leaks).
- Troubleshoot and rectify signal or equipment issues during the study.
- Document clinical observations, patient behaviour, and relevant events clearly and accurately.
- Conduct pre-study patient education, including explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Assist with morning study wrap-up, including electrode removal and post-study questionnaires.
- Perform preliminary data scoring and prepare raw data for final interpretation by the sleep scientist and reporting physician.
- Adhere strictly to infection control and laboratory safety protocols.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Bachelor in Medical science /health Science, or Bachelor in Nursing or equivalent relevant qualification ((new graduates/close to graduation with strong interest are also encouraged to apply)
- Prior experience in overnight sleep studies highly desirable
- Familiarity with Nox A1 or equivalent PSG software (preferred).
- Understanding of Diagnostic/ CPAP/BiPAP titration protocols and troubleshooting.
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 - 22 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Night shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates
