We operate a purpose-built overnight sleep laboratory at Respiratory and Sleep Centre in Macarthur Region. We have an exciting opportunity for self-motivated and organized individual to join our professional and friendly team. The Sleep Scientist/Lab Manager will be responsible for providing high quality clinical service within the sleep laboratory for patients with sleep disorders.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
- Relevant experience within a hospital or private practice setting in a sleep laboratory.
- Registered with Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification and proficiency in Polysomnography analysis (PSG scoring) as per the American Academy of Sleep Medicine standards (AASM).

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
1. Calibration and preparation of equipments used in performing PSG tests; liaise with the manufacturers of the various laboratory equipment for technical support, hardware and software upgrades.

3. You will be required to perform duties relating to the running and maintenance of the lab and its equipment including:

- Ability to comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines(ASA/AASM), and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
- Troubleshooting, including computer troubleshooting;
- Experience in ability to perform routine equipment care and maintenance, and inventory evaluation.
- Demonstrated strong customer service, consultancy skill and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to follow HIPAA policies to maintain the privacy and security of patient information.
- Experience with Medical/Sleep software programs (Noxturnal would be highly regarded).
- Possession of First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification.
- Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

4. Conducting the daytime PSG studies including the MSLT and MWT with scoring.

5. Experience on Bilevel PAP treatment will have an added value.

6. Establishing a training guide for the overnight sleep technicians.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 36 per week
