A leading government agency is seeking
**2 x Data Governance Analyst** to join their organisation for
**6 month contracts** based in
**Sydney CBD/hybrid**.

The
**Data Governance Analyst** will support the implementation and maturing of our
**Data Governance** capabilities across the agency.

They are expected to support and extend the use of Data Management tools that manage our metadata, data lineage and data quality.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Contribute to continuous improvement of **Data** **Governance** through the introduction and adoption of industry best practices and the development of new or better organisational practices, processes, and standards.
- Review proposals for change, make recommendations, and provide specialist advice on **Data** **Governance** policies, systems, processes, and controls, and their implementation using existing Data Management tools.

**Key requirements**:

- Tertiary qualification plus at least 4 years experience in a data role.
- Sound knowledge of data analysis, knowing **SQL** is an advantage, advanced **Excel**, to cleanse and manipulate data, and/or build reports
- Hands on experience in **Data** **Mining**, built or defined **Data** **Quality** rules in a line of business either writing **SQL** **Scripts** or using tools such as Informatica **Data** Quality
- Experience working on and sound understanding of **data** lakes, **data** warehouses, and data marts
