Cibaria Manly is a beachside Italian venue that will offer a diverse selection of ‘rias’ as our menu will explore all of the goodness that Italian food and drinks are well-known for.

When you think of Cibaria, think of antipasti, pizza, pasta, cocktails, vino, and mouth-watering gelato.

With our premium and convenient location, situated opposite Manly Beach coupled with an amazing menu of Italian comfort foods, and top-notch hospitality service, Cibaria will fast become a locals favourite haunt. Not a small feat for a 350-capacity venue.

We are looking for a Bar Manager to help with the opening process. Additionally, our Bar Manager will have experience with combining tradition with innovative techniques, our bar will delight guests with elevated classic cocktails crafted from boutique Italian spirits and seasonal local ingredients. We will have three bars in operation across multiple levels of the venue.

As part of opening team, you will work with the senior management team to help bring Cibaria, Manly to life from the ground up. Essential Requirements:

- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Hold a current RSA Certificate
- Full Australian working rights
- Computer literacy is a must
- Minimum 4 years in bars and restaurants, 1 year in a supervisory role
- Very good overall beverage knowledge including proficiency in cocktails
- Polite personal manner, both face to face and over the phone
- Understanding of hospitality cost control measures
- Ability to keep cool under pressure
- Strong team leading skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent grooming standards
- Hours can vary and include weekend and holiday work

Preferred Requirements:

- Formal hospitality studies completed
- Speak Italian? Bonus
- Prior venue opening experience

Your tasks and responsibilities:

- Ensuring the smooth and consistent delivery of bar service
- Regularly updating beverage lists
- Liaising with suppliers & negotiating the best prices to maximise GP
- Ongoing staff performance management

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
