**About the Role**

We are seeking qualified, or industry experienced Boat Builders

**Your day-to-day activities may include**:

- Boat Building Tasks
- Fibreglass Repair, Modifications & Mould Construction
- Aluminium & Steel Modifications and Repairs
- Plumbing and Engineering Repairs
- Custom Fit outs and Re-fits
- Timber Repairs and Modifications
- Teak Deck Installations or Refinishing
- General Marine Maintenance Duties
- Gelcoat Repairs & Spray Painting
- Machine Polishing & Detailing
- Studying plans and specifications, and preparing templates and scale plans for fabrication and cutting of hull sections
- Marking reference points and lines on dry docks and slipways - checking position and function capability of slipway apparatus
- Assembling shells of boats and erecting hull sections of ship
- Engage in vessel pre-launch testing, supervise launching procedures
- Installing masts, frames, decking, fittings, machines, shafts and safety equipment
- Building and installing structures such as cabins, machine mountings, propeller supports and rudders
- Determining repair requirements and procedures

**We require you to have**:

- A current trade Certificate III in Marine Craft Construction
- 3 years' experience in a similar role within the Marine Industry
- Rigging Experience, including be able to use swagging tools
- Experience in Gelcoat Repairs and Detailing
- Experience in Carbon Fibre and light weight Repairs
- Great customer service and the ability to communicate with vessel owners
- The ability to work unsupervised or with mínimal supervision
- The drive to complete your tasks to our expected high standards
- Understanding of all health and safety requirements within the workplace
- Current manual driver license
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time keeping skills
- Be punctual & reliable with a great work ethic
- The ability to diversify & multi-task
- Forward thinking and the ability to use your own initiative

**What we offer**:

- Full time position Monday to Friday with an attractive hourly rate
- Five day working week, finishing early on Fridays.

- Fully equipped trade facilities with all the major equipment provided (own hand tools and battery-operated tools are Required)
